Possible Future Mission

As Starbase Haven blows up all hands lost. The USS Rainmaker disappears in time.

Estaban Maturin, and Nick were testing the new temporal engine when they returned home in time to see it explode. With a short jump back in time they beam out key personal in order to return at an earlier time to stop the destruction of the Starbase... the death of Prudence Williams, and 120,382 people on the base.

I was thinking of a Back to the Future Part II (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096874/) type of thing. Where your character is in one place and at the same time sneaking behind the scenes trying to find the people that destroyed the base and stop them before they succeed.

What do you all think?

Awesome is one word to describe it, but I think things will get too complicated in the end.

yes, while writing that short post I realized it would be very complicated.

I learned from the "Under a Black Flag" mission and this one would be broke down into sub missions.

We have at least two more missions after this one so I will work on this a bit more then put it up for the whole crew to vote on if they want to or not.

I'd be happy to brainstorm idea's with you. Could be fun. I'm not saying it's impossible, it would just take a lot of planning, and flexibility all at the same time.

Exactly, 'Under The Black Flag' already caused problems for people who couldn't follow the story into detail or couldn't keep track because of timerestrains. So they stopped participating in the story altogether.

And that mission, if I'm correct, only send people to the past, not meeting their own persona cause back then they didn't exist yet.

Where with the Back To The Future-mission, they would see their own persona, so that would mean having to come up with two stories. The story where the Haven got destroyed and the story on how to prevent it.

Hm, how about first writing how the Haven got destroyed so that is fixed, so we know where the key-persons are at a certain set of time. So we know for instance that Prudence was in her office when it happened, same for the other characters, and where they were or what they were doing the hours before the descruction.

And then second part of the mission - the rescue-part - we can look back to what has already been written about the descruction. So we have something to refer too.

Anyway just a thought :-)

so now we will have to work out a base outline for the over all mission then an outline for each point in the over all outline. :D

I will have to work on that, but not today, today I have to figure out what I am going to say in the Podcast.
