This is a brief thumbnail description of the office suites that the Grey Mist C in C uses when he is at SB Haven.
As any real-estate agent will tell you, location, location, location
The office suite is located at the top side of the Atrium, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the gardens and shops below.
It is broken down into several different chambers;
The entrance/waiting room controlled by a very large not to bright being that makes sure no one gets past without permission (and a weapons check)
The main foyer where there is several different secretaries, aides, clerks and the Captain's Coxswain who makes sure that anyone that got past the large but not bright being in the entrance room really is suppose to see the Admiral and escorts them to him.
There are several rooms off of this room;
The Office of the Admiral's Adviser, which is just that, Commander Dorella Allerod's office. (I will let her tell you how it is decorated)
A Secure Conference Room, one of the few rooms that is not on the Atrium side, it has no windows and is... secure from both attack and eavesdropping. It has a second purpose in that it is the panic and/or safe room in the event of an emergency. Self contained and stocked with emergency supplies. There is also a secure holo-communications terminal there, from there the Admiral can talk to any ship in the Grey Mist Fleet.
The Admiral's Office, This is a very large room with floor to ceiling windows on one wall of it. Behind the very large old wooden (real wood, not replicated) desk hanging on the wall is a two hundred year old Raptor style bet'leH and a hand crafted epee. On the wall opposite the windows is a small freestanding bar and behind that a wall mounted wine rack holding somewhere close to one hundred bottles, wine skins, stoneware crocks, etc... of wines.
In the side with the door is a smallish table with lounge chairs and a couch, an informal sitting area. The side of the room with the desk has the chairs expected of it and a credenza against the wall below the bet'leH. The chairs on the visitor's side of the desk were made for the discomfort of the sitter, on purpose. It is not visible to look at them, they look like any old chair, but to sit longer then ten minutes and your body does not want to be there any more.
The other rooms off the main area are to be expected, a necessary room, kitchenette, storage rooms, etc...
