You are worth the work of putting another pip on the collar and making it look like it belongs there. :D

the avatar size version is sharper looking but I figured since this is my graphics den I would put the full size here, There is a maxim of picture making, 'bigger is better' You have an easier time moving things around when they are big, then when you shrink them it 'cleans up' any flaws and sharpens the image.

I have been working on a new simm idea... it's just an idea mind. 1798 Royal Navy but the rank bars... it don't work, not any that we use today, and Hall's stuff is nice but don't work in this case either.

It is nice, and I might use it, but it is still shoulder boards, something they didn't use in 1798

The uniform face and the gold lace was the difference then. And the Master and Commander wore one swab on the left shoulder, a Post Captain of less then 3 years wore one swab on the right shoulder and a Post Captain of more then 3 years wore a gold swab on each shoulder.

Each of the other commissioned ranks wore a different uniform, or variances of it.

Non-coms even less so.

I have been working on a Coat of Arms for myself, my family.

My family crest is a boar's head, so I start there.
Boar's Head - Hospitality
It would have been in my CoA anyway. lol

As the Supporters of my shield I am using a Buck and Castle Tower
Buck - One who will not fight unless provoked; peace and harmony
Castle (Tower/Chateau) - Safety

And the Order... I don't really belong to the Order of the Golden Fleece like Estaban Maturin claims. Then I thought really hard, I belong to one order... The Order of the Band of Brothers. And they have a symbol too. :p

I have been working on a pic for SB Haven, and her ships. I am thinking of a video to put in youtube for it, but don't have the music. If anyone has a music suggestion let me know

You usually don't use themes coming from Star Trek itself.

But there's one I like and I think that might fit with the theme of Safe Haven. Well, not really with the war between the three different species, but of it being a Haven.

Remember the episode from TNG where Picard gets scanned by a beam, and lives a complete life (including wife, kids, grandkids) on another planet, while onboard the Enterprise he was only out for a few minutes? (Search tells me the episode is named The Inner Light.)

While living on that planet he learned to play a song, which is known as the Ressican flute song. There are different versions out there from different lengths. And while looking at youtube Picard played that song during another episode too.

There's even a anniversary-youtube out there that shows flashes of all 4 shows with a long version of the song:

Anyway, don't really know which genry of music you're looking for, but I do have a few versions of the song on my pc if you need it.

Can't wait to see them all... I have designed him to be the kind of character the Admiral can help grow into what he needs. He will still lean towards the hard nose regulations type of thing... but I think that where the Admiral will take him there will be NO regulations that cover the situations.

He's going to be a become a bit of an adventure junkie.

The background is the gun deck of the HMS Victory.

I thought it fitting since he does Civil War Reenactments as Artillery, was in the Artillery in the military, and on the Terpsichore his character is assigned the gun deck.

Nicely done, Lupe -- the head fits the body proportionally, right angle and all, something that's not easy to do.

Red backing indicates Support Personnel - Engineering, Technical, Sonar, Communications & Supply

Grey backing indicates land based "Army" style units

White backing indicates Medical Personnel

Blue backing indicates Command branch Personnel

Yellow backing indicates Staff Personnel generally land based.
