This is a Game I have played in and or started on many of the other forums I hang out at at. Here is how it works. One player gives a move fact, other players names the movie and then gives their own fact. I'll go first.
Our Man Khan returns to haunt Admiral Kirk using mind controlling parasites to take over his ship. What movie am I?

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
An alien busted out of an actor's chest, but it wasn't Alien
Four heroes walked towards a Great and Powerful being, but it wasn't the Wizard of Oz
A short, odd-colored creature who's name starts with Y but isn't Yoda is in it.
It has a princess, hired gun, animal sidekick and robot, but it's not Star Wars
It referenced over a dozen merchandising products, but none have ever been sold.
What is it?
Spaceballs
it was a movie about war, the biggest of it's time and the beginning of a series of six movies each bigger then the last, but it was not the first movie in the story line. What movie was it?

Star Wars: Episode 4: A New Hope
Its star was practically perfect in every way, even though she'd been turned down for a screen role of her most successful stage role. It boasts the Worst English Accent Ever Award combined with the longest single-word song title in history.
And it's my favorite movie ever.
What movie is it?
Mary Poppins
YouTube- Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Sing Along
The TV series died long before the movie was made,
The Captain was a leader, but didn't believe in himself,
the crew were made up from all classes of life,
the story was the typical us against them... and them too.
people died that should not have died.

You're right, Lupe. It was Stairway to Heave (1946). Your turn.
A movie who's title was from two different books of the same series, the setting was from book 10, they used jokes from all 20 books in the series.
There were no female main parts, the only women scenes were less then 5 minutes at any time.
The movie highlighted birds, bugs, and lizards as points of interest, and the men used a walking stick (Phasmatodea) to win the battle.
Most of the music played during the movie is chamber music, or quartets.

This broadway show-turned-movie dropped its lead stage actress singing sensation for a pretty face who needed her singing voice dubbed, despite her lengthy preparation for the role. While the stage actress went on to be practically perfect, the lead for this movie went on to be blind in a horror film, and hated her performance in this classic.
There, that vague enough? Or should I write it in Visible Speech? ;)

This is a film that inspired a stronghold situation in a movie based off of a 1960 Best Seller novel. Both scenes are intense and at a turning point in both films. What movie am I?
Kevron
01-12-2010, 11:30 AM
Taps is one that was inspired by aa 1960's best selling novel, but it's not the one I was thinking of. This one's author was called the "dean of science fiction".
Kevron
03-04-2010, 11:13 AM
I'll give in, and list what it was to sort of move the thread along. The films in question were Starship Troopers (1997), in the Outpost Whiskey scene which was based off of the film Zulu (1964). The "Dean of Science-Fiction" was Robert A. Heilein.
Ah... I never watch Starship Troopers, and it was forever since I have seen Zulu.
I guess you get to try again.

Ok, a long one:
"First of all, Papa Smurf didn't create Smurfette. Gargamel did. She was sent in as Gargamel's evil spy with the intention of destroying the Smurf village. But the overwhelming goodness of the Smurf way of life transformed her. And as for the whole gang-bang scenario, it just couldn't happen. Smurfs are asexual. They don't even have... reproductive organs under those little, white pants. It's just so illogical, you know, about being a Smurf. You know, what's the point of living... if you don't have a dick?"
