I'm sort of "pre-opening" my new simm project, SI: Bajor (http://si-bajor.st-bob.net/), in hopes of finding out if there is enough interest out there to actually start simming.
The premise is pretty simple. In the aftermath of the Dominion War, the area of space around Bajor is a hotbed of intelligence activity... you have the remnants of the Maquis in the Badlands (I doubt even the Dominion could have killed all of them), Cardassia undergoing what amounts to a revolution, and all the major powers wanting to get a foothold in the Gamma Quadrant which puts Bajor and DS9 right in their path. Add to that the possibility of agents of the Dominion or other Gamma Quadrant powers coming through the wormhole on the other end, and yes, Starfleet Intelligence is gonna be plenty busy in the Bajor area.
So, retired Bajoran Captain Tersus Aram is convinced to come out of his comfortable retirement, promoted to flag rank (you really need an admiral to keep watch on such a large area), and put in charge of the Bajor Division of Starfleet Intelligence, which is the division responsible for keeping an eye on all the intelligence activity listed above, and anything else intelligence-related that happens on or around Bajor. Of course, if there's not enough interest in the simm, Aram can just go back to fixing up his family's home on Bajor.
There's still a lot of work to be done on the simm, but I'm accepting inquiries about and applications for the simm now... that'll give me a good idea of whether or not it's worth it to continue to work on it or not, I think.
Please note, this is Starfleet Intelligence, not Section 31... we do follow the rules... at least most of the time. :tongue1:
