The 1st Division Cavalry Corps Army of the Potomac is looking for players. This is a historical fiction game where the players will strive for general historical accuracy, though we're not going to strictly adhere to the letter of history. For example, we might have historical figures in command of units that either never existed or that they never commanded or certain units might, within the framework of the game, take part in battles that they did not take part in historically. However, we will not be doing things within the framework of the game like firing automatic weapons, using lasers, or smooshing Confederate troops with Sherman Tanks. In general there are a few things to be aware of:
1.There will be opportunity for both taking part in the various battles and campaigns as well as character development in camp and the like.
2. Players will, hopefully, learn a few things about the Civil War and Cavalry/Dragoon tactics in general as well while the game is being played and hopefully have fun too.
3. It is not necessary to be a history nerd to take part and play in the game. The GM has a B.S. degree in History and will happily answer any questions posed.
4. It is not necessary to play a historical figure, though it is an option should the player so choose.
